Fees
You are required to pay a fee when submitting an application for a project licence. Once you have submitted your application, you will receive the invoice together with your confirmation of receipt. You must pay the fee before the deadline stated on the invoice.
2026 rates
The rates as of 1 January 2026 are set out below. These rates have also been published in the Government Gazette (website in Dutch).
We distinguish between simple applications and project applications with one or more appendices. An application for a simple animal procedure must satisfy four conditions:
- You intend to use a single species or strain
- All animals will undergo the same procedures
- All animals will be subjected to the same level of discomfort (mild or non-recovery)
- The animal procedure is not divided into sub-procedures with different purposes
