If you wish to conduct experiments using animals, you must obtain an establishment licence from the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA).
For each project involving animal procedures, you also need to apply to the Central Authority for Scientific Procedures on Animals (CCD) for a separate project licence. In exceptional circumstances, such as during an epidemic, this application procedure may be accelerated.
